WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement after voting for the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023. “The National Defense Authorization Act is critical for Fort Knox and our nation’s overall military readiness. This NDAA ensures our military is equipped and prepared for current and future threats and ends President Biden’s harmful COVID-19 vaccine mandate on our service members. I also supported providing a 4.6 percent pay raise for troops, increasing allowances for housing, and lowering the prices of goods at commissaries. This will help counteract the impact of sky-high inflation under the Biden Administration on service members and their families. I look forward to seeing this bill signed into law soon to expand benefits for service members and their families and to provide our military the resources needed to defend our nation,” said Guthrie. ### |
