Washington, DC – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement Sunday, September 11, 2011, on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. “Today, on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, I am attending the funeral services for a fallen soldier, Private First Class Brandon S. Mullins, who was 11-years-old when this tragedy occurred. “Private Mullins is an example of the exceptional individuals who have stepped forward each day since 9/11 to ensure this terrible event does not happen again. His funeral is a reminder of how vigilant our country must be in the War on Terror. “So as we remember the men and women who lost their lives 10 years ago and pray for their families, let us also join the family and friends of Private Mullins as they honor his life and the lives of all our brave soldiers who have fought courageously." |
