WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement following his vote for H. Res. 771, a resolution standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists, of which he is an original co-sponsor:
“This evening I was proud to vote in support of Israel as they stand up in the face of terrorism and defend themselves from Hamas. I will always stand with our closest ally in the Middle East and I fully support Israel’s right to defend their homeland. America was the first country to recognize Israel as a nation in 1948, and House Republicans continue to support our Israeli allies,” said Congressman Guthrie.
