WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced that the Congressional App Challenge in Kentucky’s Second District has officially begun.

“The Congressional App Challenge is an opportunity for students to discover their potential with coding. I’m happy to host this competition for the fourth year in a row and announce the 2022 Congressional App Challenge for Kentucky’s Second District is officially open for middle and high school students. I encourage students even with little to no coding experience to participate in this competition and above all, have fun learning new skills that could be used in a future career,” said Guthrie.

Members of Congress have the opportunity to host the annual Congressional App Challenge in their respective districts. The overall winning app from each congressional district will be displayed on the House of Representatives’ website, House.gov, and is also eligible to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol.

The deadline is November 1, 2022, for middle and high school students to register and submit their app online. Students can develop apps individually or can form a team up to four students to create an app. Click HERE for more information on the Congressional App Challenge.
