Guthrie to Host Annual Academy Day Information Fair

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) will host his annual Service Academy Day Information Fair on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. EDT at Elizabethtown High School.

“One of the greatest honors I have as the representative for the Second District is to nominate students to our U.S. Service Academies,” said Guthrie. “The Academy Day Information Fair is an opportunity for Second District students and parents to hear directly from the service academies and learn more about the application process. I look forward to meeting students interested in the academies and helping them through this process.”

Second District students and their parents are invited to learn more about the United States Service Academies and the application process. Representatives from all five service academies – the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy – will speak about their respective academies and will be available to answer questions.

In addition to the service academies, representatives from the U.S. Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) will also be available to share information about college scholarship opportunities through ROTC programs.

This event is open to high school students, parents, and teachers. Constituents who plan to attend the event must RSVP to guthrieassistance@mail.house.gov or 270-842-9896.
