This new Congress marks a historic period for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, said Congressman Guthrie.
Washington, DC– Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie was sworn in for a fourth term as the representative for Kentucky’s Second District. “This new Congress marks a historic period for the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” said Congressman Guthrie. “I am honored to be a part of this critical point in history. Hopefully we will continue working to grow our economy by creating good-paying jobs and ensuring our young people are equipped with the tools for success.” Congressman Guthrie will serve on two committees during the 114th Congress: the Energy & Commerce Committee and the Committee on Education and the Workforce. Congressman Guthrie has also been selected to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Health Subcommittee and will continue to serve as an Assistant Whip within the Republican Conference. “I’m looking forward to working in this new capacity on the Health Subcommittee. The unfortunate realities of Obamacare continue to mount up and it is imperative we continue our oversight over the law,” added Congressman Guthrie. ### |
