Washington, DC– Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced today he will rejoin the Committee on Education & the Workforce in the 113th Congress. “I am looking forward to rejoining the Committee on Education & the Workforce,” said Congressman Guthrie. “This committee is where I got my start in Congress and I am excited to work with the Chairman and other members to help improve education and job training in Kentucky.” “I am pleased to welcome Congressman Guthrie back to the House Education and the Workforce Committee,” said Chairman Kline. Brett has a strong understanding of the challenges facing America’s schools and workplaces, and his expertise will be invaluable to the committee’s work in the 113th Congress.” “House leadership has a bold agenda planned for the 113th Congress and I am honored they offered me a chance to continue that agenda through the Education & the Workforce Committee,” added Congressman Guthrie. Congressman Guthrie currently serves on the House Energy & Commerce Committee, the oldest standing committee in the House of Representatives which has jurisdiction over energy, health care, telecommunications, and environmental policy, and will serve on both committees in the 113th Congress. ### |
