Washington, DC – On Thursday, Sept. 27, Congressman Guthrie will host the “Western Kentucky Agriculture Awareness Forum.” Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture James Comer will be a guest speaker at the forum. “September is a big month for the agriculture community,” said Congressman Guthrie. “The House will be back in session and will need to address theexpiring farm bill.” “The ag community is enduring a number of challenges, from lingering drought conditions to questions regarding the farm bill,” said Commissioner Comer. “I am looking forward to joining Congressman Guthrie to discuss the serious issues facing the ag community and listening to the concerns of Western Kentucky farmers.” The forum will take place at the Daviess County Lions Club Fairgrounds, 6191 Highway 54 in Philpot, Kentucky from 8-10am and is open to the public. ### |
