Washington, DC – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) made the following statement on Friday, September 11, 2009, on the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. “I know all Kentuckians will join me in remembering the sacrifices of the brave men and women who lost their lives eight years ago, and those who have worked since to ensure this tragedy does not happen again. “While we reflect on the events of that infamous day, we commemorate the strength and unity our country has gained since those fateful actions of a terrible few. I will continue to pray for the families who lost loved ones on 9/11, as well as for our soldiers and their families, who defend our freedoms every day.” |
