Washington, DC – Congressman Brett Guthrie will host “Academy Day” Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. ET at Elizabethtown High School located at 620 North Mulberry Street. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. EST.
This event is open to all junior and senior high school students, and their parents, who reside in the Second Congressional District of Kentucky who may be interested in attending any of our nation’s service academies.
“As a West Point Graduate, I am very excited to be hosting this event and even more excited that my alma mater continues to be ranked among the top colleges in America,” Congressman Guthrie said.
Academy Day will consist of presentations given by representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy. There will also be a question and answer session and information available for the students on each of the academies listed above.
