WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement after voting for the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023.

“President Biden’s and congressional Democrats’ reckless spending is not only fueling inflation that has been stretching Americans’ budgets thin, but also bringing our country closer to defaulting on our debt. As President Biden refuses to negotiate with Speaker McCarthy on the debt ceiling, House Republicans are putting forward a plan in the Limit, Save, Grow Act to address the debt ceiling in a responsible way and cut back on this reckless spending. This plan not only responsibly limits spending, saves money, and promotes economic growth, but also protects Medicare and Social Security benefits,” said Guthrie.
