Washington, December 2, 2022 | S.K. Bowen (202-225-3501)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced Carsen Parker is the new field representative for Hardin County.  Parker has succeeded Brian Smith in covering Hardin County for the Office of Congressman Brett Guthrie.

Smith departed the Office of Congressman Brett Guthrie to transition into his new public service position in Hardin County. Smith had served as director of economic development since Guthrie was first sworn into office in 2009.

Carsen Parker is now serving as field representative for Hardin County

“Brian Smith has been an invaluable and trusted member of my team. He would go the extra mile for constituents in his role as director of economic development for Kentucky’s Second District for more than a decade. I wish him the best as he continues serving Hardin County in his new role.

“I am pleased to announce Carsen Parker as my field representative for Hardin County. Carsen, who is a Glasgow native and University of Kentucky graduate, is making her home in Hardin County and currently covers Nelson, Breckinridge and Meade counties for my congressional office. I look forward to continuing to serve Hardin County and Fort Knox and maintaining a strong partnership with the community,” said Guthrie.
