WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement after a federal judge in Kentucky blocked President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate on federal contractors and subcontractors. “I’m pleased to see that my colleague Attorney General Daniel Cameron successfully argued for a preliminary injunction on President Biden’s vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors. This was the right decision and is a win for Kentucky’s impacted businesses and their employees. I have also cosponsored the Fairness for Federal Contractors Act to protect these workers from COVID-19 vaccine mandates. I am vaccinated and believe COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. However, I am against COVID-19 vaccine mandates, especially as we are facing workforce shortages across multiple industries,” said Guthrie.
