WASHINGTON, D.C. - Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee Brett Guthrie (KY-02) released the following statement on President Joe Biden’s federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

“I do not support federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates. I believe the Trump Administration’s extraordinary effort with Operation Warp Speed to produce safe and effective vaccines has been critical in the fight against COVID-19. I have been vaccinated and encourage all to get vaccinated after talking to their health care provider. I respect people to make the choice that’s best for them. Therefore, I cannot support President Biden's mandate,” said Guthrie.
