WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) supported recent federal grant funding of $66,666 for the Custer Area Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Guthrie voted to fund the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) AFG program, which is the program that awarded the grant to Custer Area Volunteer Fire & Rescue. “The Custer Area Volunteer Fire & Rescue has been awarded more than $66,000 in federal funding, which will help buy a new cascade air system. I’m happy to see federal funding I support being awarded in Kentucky’s Second District to make a positive impact in local communities. Thanks firefighters with Custer Area Volunteer Fire & Rescue for your work to protect people who live, work, and visit the local community,” said Guthrie. ### |
