WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced a federal grant for a fire department in Washington County.

Willisburg Fire and Rescue Department has been awarded a $37,714 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) AFG program.

“I’m pleased to announce that the Willisburg Fire and Rescue Department has been awarded a federal grant to purchase personal protective equipment. I supported this funding that will be used for gear to protect local firefighters responding to emergencies in Washington County. I’m happy to see this grant go to the county’s firefighters to assist with their efforts to serve and protect the community,” said Guthrie.
