WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02), Republican Leader of the Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee, released the following statement after the Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare.

“Thankfully, even with today’s Supreme Court ruling, Americans will not be impacted by the unfair Obamacare individual mandate tax penalty because GOP-led legislation reduced the penalty to zero. Obamacare does not work as promised, and Democrats’ approach of more government control in health care and socialized medicine will lead to worse care and fewer life-saving cures. With my leadership roles on the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Healthy Future Task Force, I’m focused on advancing solutions to modernize health care, lower health care costs, promote innovation for new treatments and cures, and ensure Americans have quality health care choices,” said Guthrie.
