“Tonight, we heard a strong, optimistic vision for America from President Trump. As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee, and as a member of the House Education and Labor Committee, I appreciated hearing from President Trump about his plans to lower health care costs, to fix surprise medical billing, and to increase workforce development opportunities. These are issues that we can all agree on, and I call on my Democratic colleagues to put partisan politics aside and work across the aisle for the American people.”
