Guthrie Continues Fight for the Unborn

Washington, DC– Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) voted in support of H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2015.

“I believe that life begins at conception and is a sacred gift,” said Congressman Guthrie.  “I have always supported life and policies to advance it.  This critical legislation ensures that no federal money is being used toward abortions.”

H.R. 7 also prohibits the use of subsidies under Obamacare to purchase healthcare plans covering abortion.  The House previously passed this legislation, with Congressman Guthrie’s support, in the last Congress.

“It is especially fitting that today’s vote falls on the day of the March for Life rally in Washington, DC  It is encouraging to see so many Kentuckians in our nation’s capital advocating on behalf of this cause,” added Congressman Guthrie.
