Guthrie Announces Danville Water Investment Grant

Washington, DC– Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) today announced that the Economic Development Administration (EDA), an agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce, is awarding a $980,000 grant to the city of Danville to improve water infrastructure in and around the city’s Corporate Drive Industrial area. The grant is expected to attract millions of dollars in additional private investment.

“I am excited to announce this investment grant for the city of Danville,” said Guthrie. “This investment demonstrates that Kentucky is recognized as a leader in economic growth. I know the community of Danville has been working hard to improve local water infrastructure, and I am glad the new administration is recognizing Danville’s work as well. This grant is expected to create over a hundred jobs and retain nearly 200, and will also spur further economic investment in the area: a win-win for the city. I congratulate Danville on this honor and look forward to visiting the project site in the future.”
