Guthrie Announces 2013 Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced today that the 2013 Congressional Art Competition has begun.

Washington, DC– Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced today that the 2013 Congressional Art Competition has begun.

“This is a great opportunity to engage our country’s youth in a competitive challenge,” said Congressman Guthrie. “Each year we look forward to viewing the beautiful artwork that students submit.”

All high school students (grades 9-12) are encouraged to submit artwork for the competition. The first place winner will receive two airplane tickets to fly to Washington, DC to view their artwork on display and attend a reception.

“I am hopeful that this year we will see applicants from each of our area high schools and I wish all of the young artists the best of luck with their projects,” added Congressman Guthrie.

All artwork and application materials must be sent to Congressman Guthrie’s Bowling Green office by April 12. Faculty or students with questions are encouraged to call the Congressman’s office at (270) 842-9896.
