A dedicated public servant, Senator Ford was a true legend in Kentucky politics and will leave a lasting legacy on the Commonwealth. Throughout his tenure in state and federal government, Senator Ford was known as being an advocate for his fellow Kentuckians, said Congressman Guthrie.
Washington, DC– Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) issued the following statement following the passing of Sen. Wendell Ford: “A dedicated public servant, Senator Ford was a true legend in Kentucky politics and will leave a lasting legacy on the Commonwealth. Throughout his tenure in state and federal government, Senator Ford was known as being an advocate for his fellow Kentuckians. “After leaving public service, he founded the Wendell H. Ford Government Education Center in Owensboro. It is a fantastic facility and the center is just one of the many lasting legacies his leadership has left on the region. “My thoughts and prayers are with Senator Ford’s family and friends, and the entire Owensboro community.” ### |
