I applaud the Supreme Court for upholding the principle of religious freedom and striking down the HHS mandate. No employer should be forced to comply with a federal mandate to provide drugs or procedures that violate their religious beliefs.
Washington, DC– Congressman Brett Guthrie today issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in the Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. case: “I applaud the Supreme Court for upholding the principle of religious freedom and striking down the HHS mandate. No employer should be forced to comply with a federal mandate to provide drugs or procedures that violate their religious beliefs. Obamacare sought to infringe on these freedoms and I am pleased that today's decision restored employers' rights to make decisions in line with their conscience." ### |
