Washington, DC– Congressman Brett Guthrie today issued the following statement after the Congressional Remembrance Ceremony on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001:

“Today, our nation has a heavy heart as we remember the horrific attacks that happened 12 years ago. Thousands of American lives were taken that fateful September morning, catapulting our nation into a world of fear. Today is also a day to thank the brave men and women who have served our country in defense of our freedoms. We are forever grateful for their service, and thankful for their sacrifices and those of their families. September 11^th will forever be a day that we should never forget.”
