Today's decision is incredibly disappointing for the millions of Americans looking for an escape from Obamacare. The Court's decision holds that the Administration can interpret the law however they see fit, despite the clear word of the statute, said Congressman Guthrie.
Washington, DC – Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02), Vice Chair of the Health Subcommittee, issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in the King v. Burwell case: “Today’s decision is incredibly disappointing for the millions of Americans looking for an escape from Obamacare. The Court’s decision holds that the Administration can interpret the law however they see fit, despite the clear word of the statute. “Obamacare remains an ill-conceived law that has been carried out in an irresponsible way. It picks winners and losers and does not address the rising cost of health care that is burdening American families. Despite today’s ruling, I will continue to work to dismantle the law and find ways to improve access and coverage for those negatively impacted by the law.” ### |
