Washington, DC – On Thursday, Sept. 6, Congressman Guthrie will hold a joint Academy Day Information Fair with Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY.). The annual event is intended to provide information to high school students, recent graduates and parents regarding the U.S. Military (West Point), Naval, Air Force, Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine academies, as well as the nomination process. “I hope our young Kentuckians will consider the value of joining one of our excellent service academies,” said Congressman Guthrie, a West Point graduate. “I’m proud of my background and know how beneficial the combination of service and education can be.” The information fair will be held on Thursday, September 6 from 5:30-8:30pm CT at the Carroll Knicely Conference Center located at 2355 Nashville Road in Bowling Green.
