Guthrie to Hold Two Service Academy Information Fairs

The annual information fairs will include presentations by representatives from all five service academies – the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy and the Coast Guard Academy.

Washington, DC – Congressman Guthrie will hold two Academy Day information fairs this September.  On Tuesday, September 2nd, Congressman Guthrie will host the first fair, co-hosted by the office of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), in Bowling Green.  The second fair will take place on Monday, September 15th in Danville.

The annual information fairs will include presentations by representatives from all five service academies – the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy and the Coast Guard Academy.  The fairs will also include remarks by Congressman Guthrie.  Documents including application information, general guidelines, and frequently asked questions will also be available for those in attendance.

Academy Day is designed to help make the nomination and appointment application processes clearer and easier for students who hope to attend one of our country’s five service academies.  Any middle or high school student (and their family) who is interested in attending an academy or gaining more information are encouraged to attend.  Educators and school officials are also welcome.

Interested applicants and those who would like more information about the academies can visit the congressman’s website or contact Congressman Guthrie’s Bowling Green office at (270) 842-9896.
