Washington, DC –Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) will host "Academy Day" Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. CT at Carroll Knicely Conference Center located at 2355 Nashville Road in Bowling Green, Ky. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. CT.
Washington, DC –Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) will host “Academy Day” Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. CT at Carroll Knicely Conference Center located at 2355 Nashville Road in Bowling Green, Ky. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. CT. This free event is open to all junior and senior high school students, and their parents, who may be interested in attending any of our nation’s service academies. “As a West Point Graduate, I am very excited to be hosting this event and even more excited that my alma mater continues to be ranked among the top colleges in America,” Congressman Guthrie said. “Academy Day” will consist of presentations by representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy. There will also be a question and answer session and information available for the students on each of the academies listed above. The event will last approximately 2 hours.
