Guthrie Named "Guardian of Small Business"

Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) was recently named a "Guardian of Small Business" by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Washington, DC– Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) was recently named a “Guardian of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

The “Guardian of Small Business” award is given based on the voting record of each Member of Congress in support of small business and job creation. The NFIB scores legislation relating to small businesses and all Representatives scoring above 70 percent are honored. Congressman Guthrie received a score of 100 percent in the 112th Congress.

“Having worked at my family’s manufacturing business, I know the challenges our small business owners are facing,” said Congressman Guthrie. “I believe that small businesses are the backbone of our economy and that Washington can work toward implementing more pro-growth policies that provide economic certainty and allow our communities to thrive.”
