Guthrie Announces Grants for Local Law Enforcement Agencies

Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced grants totaling over $1.25 million for local law enforcement agencies in the Second District.

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) announced grants totaling over $1.25 million for local law enforcement agencies in the Second District.  The grants will be administered by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) through the agency’s COPS Hiring Recovery Program.

“During this difficult economic time, these grants will provide much needed resources to our local law enforcement,” Guthrie said.  “The men and women in our police departments play a critical role in keeping families safe.  This funding will enable agencies to create jobs so they have the manpower to fight crime more effectively.”

The following agencies will receive grants:

  • Glasgow Police Department
  • Muldraugh Police Department
  • Radcliff Police Department
  • Shepherdsville Police Department
  • Warren County Sherriff’s Office
