Washington, DC - Standing on the floor of the House of Representatives today, Congressman Brett Guthrie (Bowling Green) was sworn-in to represent Kentucky's Second Congressional District.
"I am honored and humbled to serve Kentucky's Second District as their Congressman," Guthrie said. "I am grateful to the people who have entrusted me with an extremely important job - to be their advocate in Washington. Regardless of whether they are Republicans, Democrats, or Independents, I can assure my district that I will listen to their concerns, and represent them as a problem solver and leader. As we begin the 111th Congress, our nation faces difficult times. I look forward to building bipartisan coalitions to be an effective Member of Congress as I fight for our region.”
“My top priority is to offer outstanding service to my constituents. I am committed to providing first-class support to those that need help in breaking through the red tape of the federal government,” said Guthrie.
