Presidential Inauguration 2017

In less than two months, our country will be celebrating the inauguration of our 45th president, Donald J. Trump. I am honored and excited to announce that my office will have a limited number of tickets available for constituents who wish to witness this historic moment! To request tickets, please call my Washington, D.C., office at 202-225-3501 as soon as possible. Read below for more information about the ticket selection process. This information will be updated regularly, so please visit this site in the coming weeks and months for more information as it becomes available.

Tickets:  Members of Congress will be allotted a limited number of standing tickets for the presidential inauguration ceremony on Friday, January 20, 2017, at the United States Capitol. We will find out the number of their allotted tickets in late November, and my office will alert constituents of their ticket status mid-December. Constituents with confirmed inauguration tickets will be able to pick up their tickets in person from our office in Washington, D.C, in the days prior to the inauguration. There will also be standing-room availability on the National Mall for persons without tickets.

Inauguration Ceremony:  The Inauguration Ceremony will be held outside, and tickets will be for standing  areas without any seating. The Inauguration Ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a musical prelude beginning at 10:30 a.m. Due to security measures, visitors should expect to arrive 1.5-2 hours prior to the actual ceremony start time to ensure that they have time to make it to their viewing location. Gate opening times will be announced in January. Historically, the average temperature in Washington, D.C. in January is 38°F, so be prepared to spend an extended time standing in potentially-cold temperatures to witness this historic event.  We recommend you make travel arrangements as soon as possible, as hotels and flights have traditionally booked up quickly leading up to this exciting event.

More information about the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony can be found at the website of The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC).  The JCCIC website will be updated continuously with schedule information for the 58th Inauguration. Information about the Inaugural parade can be found here.
