Introduced a Bill to Prioritize POWs Medical Care Priority Status at the VA
I recently helped introduce crucial legislation, the POW Priority Care Act, which provides former Prisoners of War (POW) the highest priority group status for medical care at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Our veterans who were POWs have faced unimaginable hardships in addition to physical and mental trauma from combat. Our nation and Congress have a responsibility to put those that have given so much for our nation first.
For this reason, I am proud to work with my colleagues from across the aisle to recognize the adversity that our POWs have faced by elevating these veterans to the highest priority status, ensuring they receive the health care services that they have earned as quickly as possible.
