Attended the Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump as our 47th President

trump

On January 20, I was fortunate to attend the inauguration ceremony for President Donald Trump to become our 47th President and JD Vance to become our 50th Vice President of the United States.

House Republicans have a mandate to work together and with President Trump to put the American people first once again. I am committed to working with my fellow Republicans, alongside President Trump to deliver on our agenda of securing our Southern border, lowering costs for Kentuckians, and making our communities safe once again from the drugs and illegal immigrants pouring over our Southern border.

Elected Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce

chair

On December 10, I was elected to serve as the Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce for the 119th Congress. The Energy and Commerce Committee is the oldest standing legislative committee in the House of Representatives with broad jurisdiction over the country’s health care system, energy and environmental policies, telecommunications and technology innovation, and consumer safety.

This critical position ensures our Kentucky communities have a seat at the table for the most important issues facing our nation. I am dedicated to ensuring we help our nation reverse the course of rising costs due to inflation and the increased number of national security threats across the world.  House Republicans must restore America to its rightful position as a world leader and make certain the American dream remains in reach for Kentuckians across our Commonwealth.

My Bill to Provide Access to Care and Support Services for Alzheimer’s Patients and Their Families Became Law

politico

On December 11, I was proud to see my Building Our Largest Dementia (BOLD) Infrastructure for Alzheimer’s Reauthorization Act of 2024 be signed into law by the President.

Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias affects patients and their families across our Commonwealth and the nation indiscriminately. The BOLD Act will help individuals, families, caregivers, and the health care system by reauthorizing critical programs to improve early detection and diagnosis, as well as provide resources to help identify more effective treatments for those living with Alzheimer’s Disease. My bill also helps to provide caregiver support resources to improve the quality of life for patients and their loved ones caring for them.

This bill will not only help families across Kentucky but our entire nation that are suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. I am proud to have led this important charge and I remain committed to helping patients and caregivers with Alzheimer's until we are able to irradicate this awful disease once and for all.
