Brett’s Bulletin: An Update From Back Home in Kentucky

Dear friends,

It's been a productive couple of weeks in the district. Take a look at some of what I've been up to!

Discussing the Future with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce

Chamber Dinner

I joined the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce to highlight and discuss my role as the Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

In this position, I will work constantly to unleash American energy, support manufacturing, ensure we win the race for AI, grow our economy, and improve health care for all Americans.

Meeting with Local Leaders

Local Leaders

It's always great to catch up with our local leaders to discuss ways we can work together to advocate for the Kentuckians we represent. Thank you to Bullitt County Judge Executive Jerry Summers, Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse, Munfordville Mayor Ricky Line and Hart County Judge Executive Joe Choate for meeting recently!

Visiting with Local Hospitals Across KY-02

Over the past several weeks, there's been a lot of misinformation surrounding the impacts the One, Big Beautiful Bill will have on Kentucky hospitals. I've traveled around the district to meet with their leadership teams to discuss these reforms and talk about the ways that I can continue to be an advocate for them as Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

TJ Samson 1

I recently met with the team at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. In addition to the One, Big, Beautiful Bill, we talked about the ways in which they are innovating with AI to provide health care in rural communities. Additionally, I had the opportunity to see the new investments they are making in their cardiology unit.

Owensboro Health Muhlenberg
Caverna Medical Center

I also had the opportunity to meet with the teams at the Caverna Medical Center, Owensboro Health Muhlenberg! Thank you to these incredible providers for working with me to maintain and improve health care in our rural communities!

Unleashing Energy Independence

Glasgow EPB

I met with the Glasgow Electric Plant Board to discuss the work I am doing as Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to unleash American energy and lower energy prices for Kentucky families. Thanks for all the work you do to support Barren County!

Supporting Those Who Serve

Knox Regional Development

I participated in a roundtable discussion with the Knox Regional Development Alliance and local community leaders on how we can support Fort Knox's mission, continued growth in Hardin County, and strengthen our national security. It was great to hear about the incredible efforts our community is making to support the servicemembers and families stationed in Kentucky!

Getting Kentucky Access to Health Care

PHI Air Medical
PHI Air Medical

It was great to visit the PHI Air Medical Center in Greenville to discuss the work they are doing to get Kentuckians access to critical care, quickly.

Visiting the Team at the Walmart Distribution Center

Walmart Distro

It was awesome to tour the Walmart Distribution Center in Bullitt County and visit with their awesome team. This is a truly impressive facility in our community. Thanks for having me!

Meeting with the Barren County Chamber of Commerce

Barren Chamber

I met with the Barren County Chamber of Commerce to discuss the ways the tax provisions in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill will grow our economy and support small businesses across our district. Thank you for a productive conversation and for all you do to support Barren County!

Speaking with the Central City Lions Club and Rotary Club

Lions Club

I had a great conversation with the Central City Lions Club in Muhlenberg County, hearing about the issues that matter most to them and giving an update on my work in Congress.

Touring the New Western Kentucky Regional Training Center

New KY Regional Training Center
New KY Regional Training Center 1

I visited with the instructors at the newly constructed Western Kentucky Regional Training Center in Greenville. This impressive 65,000 square foot facility will provide workforce training to Kentuckians throughout the region. Good luck as classes kick off this week!
