Jobs and the Economy

I prioritize helping Kentuckians find jobs and ensuring that they have opportunities to pursue the American Dream. I am a co-chair of the bipartisan Congressional Apprenticeship Caucus. As co-chair, I bring members of Congress together to explore how Congress can support apprenticeships to help workers learn skills on the job while getting paid. I also advance legislative solutions in Congress to expand career advancement opportunities through work-based learning programs.

I deeply understand the important role small businesses play in our economy, which is why I support legislation that helps these job creators in Kentucky thrive. I push back against burdensome government regulations that kill local jobs. I also support strengthening supply chains in the U.S. to ensure that our country is not dependent on China or other countries for supplies.
